The new Defender follows on from the previous version, which was discontinued in 2016, and is itself a descendant of the legendary Serie I, II and III models that debuted in 1948.
Available by special order only, the Defender V8 is the latest addition to the range.
It is easily recognisable thanks to its 4 discreet and sonorous tailpipes, and its very exclusive blue callipers at the front.
The suspension and transmission of the V8 versions have been specially tuned to cope with the excessive power of the V8. This includes an all-new active rear differential and bespoke springs and dampers.
