The new Defender succeeds the previous version, which was discontinued in 2016, itself a descendant of the legendary Series I, II and III models launched in 1948.
On the outside, the very boxy front end echoes the lines of its predecessors, with an almost flat bonnet, giving it incredible charisma.
Inside, we find the Defender’s signature design cues, with a few exposed screws on the doors and a fairly basic yet highly effective dashboard.
Here we have a Defender 110 in the Hard Top version, with two seats, far more practical than the three-seater version, where the third seat is purely decorative. This means it avoids any environmental or weight-based penalties, allowing all business owners to avoid paying company car tax and to reclaim VAT.
As it is classified as a CTTE vehicle rather than a Deriv VP, it is, in regulatory terms, a van. A very attractive option from a tax perspective!
In terms of the engine, our Defender is fitted with the powerful 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 250 hp, which is very fuel-efficient and delivers generous torque, providing excellent acceleration.
